The Windsor knot is a thick, wide and triangular tie knot that projects confidence. It would therefore be your knot of choice for presentations, job interviews, courtroom appearances etc. It is best suited for spread collar shirts and it’s actually quite easy to do.
Many guys complain about knotting ties and prefer not to use one than use and not knot it well.
If you don’t know how to knot one, don’t worry here are simple ways to knot a Tie;
Start with the wide end of the tie on the right and the small end on the left. The tip of the small end should rest slightly above your belly-button.
Move the wide end over the small end to the left.
Tuck into the neck loop from underneath.
Move down to the left
Then to the back of the small end to the right
Move to the center, towards neck loop
Take it through the neck loop and down to the right
Move across the front to the left
Up into the neck loop from underneath
Then down through the loop you’ve just created in the front
Tighten the knot by pulling down on the wide end. Slide the knot up and adjust
